It's technically a possibility, but practically- I know of no jurisdiction that actually recommends jail time for a first offense of on this charge.

No, that is not correct. That ticket is a 3-point violation. Also, if the ticket was issued as the result of an accident, even if you are be able to pay it online, Georgia law still requires you to show up for your court date.
