Can a person with a criminal history testify

answered on Jan 2, 2023
A video is not required to convict a person of a crime. There are many other kinds of evidence, including eye-witness testimony, that could be used to convict a person without any video evidence.
A person with a criminal history can testify.

Most lawyers likely charge the same price for an annulment as a divorce. The price can vary significantly on a case by case basis.
A reasonable range is probably between $2000 and $4000 for something fairly basic.

answered on Dec 27, 2022
You cannot communicate directly with the Judge. There are motions that you may want to file, including possibly a demand for speedy trial, that can speed up the process.
You may want to consider hiring a lawyer to protect your rights, and to help resolve your case more quickly.

Is there any type of emergency order I can file for parenting time with him?

answered on Dec 24, 2022
It sounds like you need a Temporary Hearing to set up visitation until the Divorce can be finalized. The court can set a time/date for a temporary hearing.

It's my assistant manager and I'm trying to get him promoted, but he has to have open availability. The case hasn't even made it to superior court yet and may not. His lawyer is court appointed and ignoring him(not returning phone calls or messages). Thank you in advance.

You would need to file a motion to modify the conditions of bond. It’s possible that a prosecutor would consent, but if not, a hearing before a judge would be required.

It means the person failed to appear at a court date, and an arrest warrant was issued. Additionally, it means that the court refused to dismiss the warrant. So the person needs to turn themself in, or eventually the person will be arrested.

When a person is arrested, they will remain in jail until they post a bond, or until the case is resolved by plea, dismissal or trial. If your daughter was not given a bond amount, it is probably a good idea to hire a criminal defense attorney to help get her a bond.

It may be possible to do what you are asking. However, any lawyer you hire will need to delve into the case before an exact outcome can be determined. If you'd like to discuss the case further, you are welcome to call.

It means that you serve 60 days in jail, and then you are released to probation for the remainder of the 3 year sentence.
It’s basically a 3 year probation sentence that requires you to serve a little jail time before starting the probation part.

If your attorney recently passed away, the Court will almost certainly give you time to obtain new counsel. However, it is important to hire someone as soon as possible. Your new lawyer will likely be able to persuade the Judge to grant some extra time to prepare.
